The Kiln holds under 300, so even the back of the Circle is close. For a two-person play the centre of the Stalls is the natural pick.

What's Berlin About?

Tom is backpacking in Berlin with nowhere to stay. Charlotte, who was born there and works in a bar, offers him her couch for the night. They fall for each other fast, but by the morning things have come out about both of them that can't be ignored.

It's a two-hander from the Australian writer Joanna Murray-Smith, arriving after an acclaimed premiere in Australia. Lucy Bailey, who directed Witness for the Prosecution in London, directs.

Who's Berlin For?

People who like a tight, tense evening: 75 minutes, no interval, and you're out by about 8:45pm. It's for 14 and over. The play deals with the Holocaust, war and suicide, has slurs and some violence, and includes partial nudity.
