About David Bowie: You're Not Alone at Lightroom
You're Not Alone is a 360-degree show built from the David Bowie Archive in New York. It uses performance footage, interviews that are rarely heard and film that has not been shown before, chosen from thousands of hours of material.
Lightroom projects it across all four walls and the floor of one large room, and the sound has been rebuilt for the space. Bowie's own voice carries the story, so it plays less like a documentary and more like a conversation with him.
Who is David Bowie: You're Not Alone for?
Long-time fans will find rare footage and the songs they came for, from Space Oddity to Heroes. If you only know the hits, it is a clear and moving introduction to his life and to the way he kept changing. It suits a daytime visit, a date or a trip with older children.
What happens when you arrive?
You walk into one large room, find a spot on the floor or on the benches around the edge, and the show starts around you. Images move across every wall at once, and the middle of the room gives the widest view.
